Brantley Construction worked closely with the Owner and Architect to achieve the best solution for resolving unforeseen circumstances, which arose on the project. Brantley was able to resolve most conditions with no additional cost to the Owner. This project entailed a new 140,115 sq/ft. campus consisting of a four-story dormitory to house 300 students and staff, two single-story wings with art/music classroom and faculty offices, and two lobbies leading to future classroom and gymnasium wings. Previous demolition of an old three-story textile mill on site offered significant early challenges to site work and foundation activities and posed serious cost/schedule impact potential. Despite numerous Owner-driven change orders, this project finished ahead of schedule and has garnered numerous accolades from a satisfied Owner.
