Gary D. Brantley, PE - President
After earning his B.S. & M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Construction Management) from Clemson University, Gary spent time as an engineer in the offshore oil industry and obtained his P.E. In 1986, Gary then joined Brantley Construction and currently serves as President. His responsibilities include overall operations of Brantley Construction.
He has successfully completed a wide range of projects including the complex and unique, requiring close attention to details like the budget, schedule, etc. These include military projects (missile magazines and torpedo maintenance facilities), marine facilities (marinas and piers), commercial projects (offices, restaurants, and warehouses) and institutional facilities (K-12 schools, college learning, higher education, research centers and laboratories). As you can see, Gary has definitely helped add to the Brantley Construction Team.
Over the years, he has been recognized not only for his contributions to the construction industry, but also by his contributions to our community, among which included his active role in the Dorchester County Habitat for Humanity. Gary has held board positions with several the following organizations: the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Construction Specification Institute (CSI), the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) and the Charleston Contractor’s Association (CCA).
