The fast-tracked Design-Build renovation and upfit of an existing office and warehouse building to a Multi-Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC) Training Facility. The building  accommodates 250 occupants in approx. 50,000 SF. In addition to training space, the project included offices, classrooms, workstations, briefing space, restrooms, break room, and janitor’s closets, the project includes minor demolition of the building interior, building exterior, building systems, and building site. The building consists of a two-story office area and a single-story classroom and simulation training area. The facility contains 3 large classrooms, each with partitions to allow the rooms to be divided into quadrants. The partitions hang from new steel frames that will be independent from the main roof structure. The site development included a secure perimeter and a bus drive for trainee transport. Site work included utilities, paving, grading, storm water design, erosion control, landscaping, sidewalks and ramps. Interior metal stud framing and exterior envelope including wall air barrier and insulation. Installation of fire alarm, fire sprinkler, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and telecommunications.
